Open House & 15slc 1st Facil Meeting.

16th of May was Open House,
opened 2 houses, one for Council Leadership booth and the other for HP booth.
I was known as "HP Ambassador", which can be clearly (not so) seen on the tag here.

What a nice name for such a menial job.

And the performances were brilliant though, from Wushu to Band's Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest, Accidentally in Love and 童话, they were all excellent.

Kudos to hcico, who blew the audience away.

That pretty much concluded Open House.

Then, it was on to 15slc Facils Meeting 1!
The icebreakers were hilarious, and I still like my weird analogy during self-intro.
"I feel that facilitating is like banging the wall, tiring yet fulfilling."

And after the entire meeting went to KAP to dinner with OT and several Facils, and ended up staying there till 9+,
and I think we will appear on STOMP or Straits Times for making too much noise and also the initial singing of Boom Boom Pow by Damian, Perry and me, followed by ...Baby One More Time and Hung Up by Nick Chuan and me.
We were probably singing A LITTLE too loudly HAHA.

Then at KAP bus stop, saw imba arrival timings for the buses.

How can 170 take 55 mins to come and 961 97 mins? It's obviously screwed up.
So, 74 came first and there went Nathanael, Shu Shien, Wen Yi and Brenda.
And I was stuck all alone at the KAP bus stop.
But fortunately, 852 wasn't much of a bitch this time and came rather quickly.

15slc FACS FTW!

May. 15th, 2009

Stick 'em up, it's a raid.

Invasion of the pandas occured yesterday at the NCC Activity Room at SALT Centre.
Here is the extent of the damage.

Nyuuuuuuuuu!

And this is panda-whoring gone wrong with a webcam.

On other note, today was an extremely screwed day.
I really saw no grounds for optimism for the 14th of May, 2009.

A huge sigh.

May. 12th, 2009

Hell.

It's only when the odds are placed against you,
that you suddenly realize the importance to strive.
It's only then that you realize the true meaning of
what they call making the best out of what you have.

'Cause there ain't no more room for salvation;
'Cause there ain't no more grounds for optimism;
'Cause there just ain't any hope anymore.

But maybe,
maybe.
It's just not too late.
Hopefully it's never too late.

Fuck you (Fuck you)
Fuck you very, very much
Cause we hate what you do
And we hate your whole crew
So please don't stay in touch

Fuck you (Fuck You)
Fuck you very, very much
Cause your words don't translate
And it's getting quite late
So please don't stay in touch

Disclaimer: This blog post is solely aimed at my life now, and no individual.

P.S.: I still find Jessica amazingly scary. She read through my msn display name and also the italicized words at the beginning of my previous few blog posts. It was utterly amazing. But now, I guess it doesn't matter anymore.

She wears short skirts, I wear T-Shirts.

Rain;
Is falling on my window pane.
But I'm hiding
in a Safer Place.

It's funny to see how Taylor act two different roles in this one.
And the front part was totally not her style!

But then they actually kissed in this MV, as compared to Love Story, where kissing was very obviously omitted HAHA.

Enjoy!

P.S.: Got affected by Qingyi urgh.

Happy Mother's Day!

I have been trying my best
I have been doing my all
But
It just seems as though it's not enough

Life;
Dangles on a string,
like slow, spinning
Redemption.

First of all, here's wishing mothers all around the globe a
Happy Mother's Day!

On to the crux of the matters,
yesterday went to Tampines-1 for the first time to have mother's day dinner with relatives.
On the way there the bus tyre burst and there was this huge exploding noise.
Well, had to snail at 10km/h from just off Tampines Expressway all the way to the bus interchange.
Definitely not the best bus ride.
Ate at Kim Gary Restaurant, lots of variety but there's just no quality.

Today, I feel very screwed.
I don't feel tired.
That sounds normal.
But I slept at 5am and woke up at 10.30, and I don't feel tired.
Now that's abnormal.
But then again, the whole was spent Restaurant City-ing and Mousehunt-ing,
and also trying to get Pokémon Platinum from Xinni but phailed.

Pokémon HeartGold / SoulSilver ftw!

Would you take a blow for the one you love?
Would you want to protect your family?
Would you want to do your all for your friend?
Would you create a space for no one else but the people you know?

People:
Breathe the same air;
Live under the same sun;
So close yet so far.
Just strangers.
Unknown.
Unnoticed.

I seriously got no idea why I am still here.
I have 4 essays to complete.

Just got pwned for geog and physics,
not very optimistic about the results.
Nevertheless, there are always better things to look forward to.

And I'm dead sure of that.

Sidetracking,
I find this brilliant.
HCI Band!

Blurry.

I've seen with my own eyes,
so clasp your hands together in prayer.
Believe.
Feel.
Make it happen.

Today was a rather eventful and uneventful. Uneventful in terms of the routine stuff that needed to be carried out, eventful in terms of the AMOUNT of routine stuff that needed to be carried out.
The only plus point today was a very humorous discussion at Poolside about well, our school teachers.
It was going in a very wrong direction, and Kai En came out with a very great quote.

"No wonder they need to close the staff room at 2.30; who knows what they are doing inside." - Kai En

Well, back to geography and physicks!

Geography Seminar!

Yesterday was 14th Hwa Chong Humanities Seminar, Geography-themed!
Topic was on I.R. and tourism geography, and speaker was Professor T.C. Chang from NUS.
Armed with a 66-slide powerpoint, he went on, occasionally waking people up with some added humour.
Seow Yongzhi was behind me, adding rather unnecessary comments the whole way, and he fell asleep at slide number 40.

Kiu Qingyi was there, and also Dileen Ee whom I was making reference to towards Yongzhi for the whole seminar (:
A rather pleasant surprise was seeing Chen Ting, didn't expect her to be here haha.

Overall, informative seminar, but however may be a little TOO informative.

PLMGS(S) Symphony of Praise II!

Today, 30th April, has been rather exhilarating.
Firstly, got back chem test and w00ts, full marks.

Ahh, footprints in the sand.

Then, went to PLMGS for Symphony of Praise II concert!
It was basically all the performing arts in one concert.
Firstly, was dance, and it was brilliant.
Next in like was Harp Ensemble and it was something new to me, seeing how the harp is actually being played.
Then came Choir, which was obviously rather imba.
Next was Handbell, and the moment I heard "Dr. Christopher Fong" my heart skipped a beat, cause he was the conductor for Northland Primary's Handbell Ensemble. Yikes, to think I got scolded by him before for playing the wrong note.
Before the intermission the final one was ELDDS, which had a character named "Kenji" and I was feeling rather weird throughout the entire play as my name was constantly being screamed on stage. (I still suspect Li Min is behind this! D:)

After the intermission  it was band! Even though I couldn't see Ying Bing and Isador from where I was sitting, in my opinion they should have gotten a Gold for SYF inside of Silver. But nevertheless, excellent display.
Next was Guitar Ensemble, which didn't really leave a lasting impression.
Following that was CLDDS, and compared to HCI's, it's easy to see why they got silver.
Finally it was the Guzheng Tuan, and they seriously deserved their GwH at SYF, they simply stole the show and all the limelight and totally ended off the concert with a bang.

And so, after the concert went to find Ying Bing to pay her the money for the ticket, then had to rush home immediately.

TnF Finals, JGs, PLAP Dangdut Nite

22nd April was Track and Field stayover!
Did the banners,  and went to sleep thereafter.

23rd April! Track and Field Finals @ Choa Chu Kang Stadium.
Very impressed with the Sec 1s, their cheering spirit was amazing and totally unexpected.
Well, it conveniently left me a sore throat which hasn't fully recovered till now.
Anyway, at the stadium saw Jessica and Debbie, and I don't know for what but Yang Bohan came.
Eventually, C and B div both claimed National Champs and A girls got 2nd, A boys 3rd.
Hwa Chong Track and Field ftw!
(me gonna try and get in next year bwhahaha.)

24th April!
JGs Finals at Nanyang Audi.
Kah How, Li Ki and Darion put up a good fight but well, the grand trophy still went to RI.

25th April!
PLAP was Dangdut Nite, some Malay disco dance thingy.
Quite fun but sleep-inducing at the same time HAHA.

Well, that's all for now!

HiF Finals & TnF Banner Painting!

Busy these few days, so have to do mashup blogging again!
On 15th April was HiF Finals, and it was really really bad.
Nothing to say anymore.

Next up, today went for Track And Field Banner Painting @ SALT Centre.
Took up the whole day, but had loads of fun.
Finally, got to eat Golden Rooster lemon chicken rice for the first time in about 2 months (:
Perfect!

Preview of banners:

That's all for now, ciao!

Apr. 14th, 2009

tuesday the 14th.

Yesterday there wasn't much time for blogging since I spent like 15 and a 1/2 hours in school.
Yes, did HiF until 10pm and reached home at 11pm.
Never had dinner at 11pm since I don't know when.
And as usual 852 was being a bitch, coming not exactly when I want it to.
Well, that pretty wraps up the uneventful Monday.

Now, Tuesday the 14th of April.
1 day to HiF finals!
Rehearsal today was phail, inefficiency totally surfacing.
Just hope everything can be chionged out tonight and settled by tomorrow morning for the finals.
Before that had council meeting, and all the councillors looked in great shape for Track and Field finals!
Good luck everyone!

Most importantly, time to finish the work due for submission tomorrow.
Living day by day isn't the way, but maybe at the end of the day I'll end up gay (happy)!

THE Easter Sunday

Happy Easter Sunday everybody!
Sigh, Kinder Surprise has run out of stock everywhere.

This morning, went all the way to the houses behind Choa Chu Kang stadium to ask the house owners whether they could loan us the space at the back of their houses to place banners for Track and Field Finals.

RI was apparently there before us, they already had the promise of three houses.
But unwavered by the slight downpour, Sherwin and I went from house to house and eventually got 3 houses secured and about 3 potential ones.
Yay us, we got two houses side by side so we can hang our completely un-small banners.

After that, 307-ed back to Lot 1 where the new Basement Food Haven was uncovered.
Had some typical Subway, and THERE WAS STUDENT MEAL.
Cheap shizz.
But the greatest pity was that Lot 1 was definitely missing Starbucks.

And that pretty much rounds up my Easter Sunday.
Pathetic me.

Wasted Saturday

It's been a long day.
Arrived in school at 8.30am, debate till 11am, rushed home, rushed back to school, then back home again.
HiF Finals CANNOT be screwed.

Firstly,
6th National Chinese Debates!

River Valley High School vs. CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls' School.

The debate was extremely entertaining, with funny comments being thrown at each other.
But eventually one of the girls from St. Nics took best speaker, then they won.

Then, HiF preparations.
The CA questions are completely screwed, it's almost like a total disaster.
Never mind, I'll see tomorrow.

Also, I contemplated crashing 3NGLES bbq.
But I decided against it when Priscilla called me, sounding totally panicked and shocked.
See, I'm nice(:

Now, it's back to werk.
The cycle goes on...

Apr. 9th, 2009

Zombified.

I have been a zombie for the whole day, taking short naps whenever I can, because I literally had a COUPLE of hours' sleep this morning.

On to the crux of the matters, Project's Day Prelimnaries was a great success, and the smiles on the judges' faces coupled with the difficulty of the questions all proved the point that yes, my group was through to the Semis.

And now, even though my brain is like signalling to me every other second to go and get some rest, but I do not feel like sleeping at all.
But then again, I don't really have any purpose for staying awake.
Sigh, dilemma, dilemma.

(no subject)

HiF Prelims was considered quite a great success(:
Congratulations guys! Now it's only the Finals left!

It's 2am in the morning and what am I doing?
Literature Essay.
Pday Editing.

I appreciate the fact that there are no lessons tomorrow,
but wonders,

Are we allowed to sleep during judging tomorrow?
Perhaps I'll just make convenient trips to the "toilet" :D
That may probably just work out!

But for now, it's back-to-werk time.

Tomorrow is the 2nd Humanities-In-Focus.

With current progress, things are set to look good for tomorrow, but I can't be very sure about the Finals.
But in any case, let me worry about my HRP/Project's Day first.
